Hope's Basic Training - Class 2

This is Hope, my Golden Retriever puppy.

Here we are at Hope's second evening of basic obedience training. It is a nice cool evening, so I am comfortable. Thank goodness. The prior week was miserable for me and Hope actually seemed to get quite hot herself.

As you can see she does pretty well during this exercise. Especially since she is learning this for the first time today. But she is still a puppy at 5 months old and we are away from the other dogs and people because she is easily distracted. The instructor comes over a couple of times during this short snippet of our "wait" exercise and of course Hope knows SHE is the one with the GOOD treats. She always has cheese or something stinky that you know the dogs looooove!

Overall she did well at this session and so did I with the mild weather. It wasn't as bad on my MS as the week prior.

Someday, "hope"fully, this sweet girl will be my service dog and will be able to go wherever I go. Giving my husband (and my neighbor... and my mom) a break. :)
