The commander in charge of the welfare and support of British Forces in Germany has spoken of his surprise on learning all service personnel will be out of the country within the decade. As part of the Defence Review, the Government said it would end Britain's military presence by 2020.
But speaking to his UK Support Command staff today, Major General Nick Caplin revealed he still has little information as to how the withdrawal timetable will look.
