Samson C01u USB Audio Condenser Microphone Review

My first ever fully edited/voice-over video on my channel. Many hours of editing and learning Sony Vegas for this one...

This is a review of the Samson C01u USB audio condenser microphone that I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking into doing commentating/voice-over work.

Let me know if you guys like this style of review and what you would like to see from me in the future. Any tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

@j3fffr3y Keeps the moisture from getting on the mic when you talk which can damage the diaphragm over time. It also keeps the "P" sounds from making a "POP" sound when you talk. Just search "pop filter" and there are some examples between with the pop filter and without it.

@Skannerup Yes, for this I used the PS01 Ppp Filter from Samson as well as the SP01 Spider Shock Mount from Samson to record the voiceover.

@CarlOreally You can use it as far as Skype Calls, Livestreams and such. As far as XBL parties, you probably won't be able to use it since it's a USB mic but you could use it for Rockband and other games that require a USB Mic. Hope that helps...

@CarlOreally Oh, Doing commentaries for gameplay. Yeah, It will work. There is a free program called Audacity that you can use to record with. I personally just use the recording software built into Sony Vegas but Audacity is a VERY good program for voice-overs!

Is this microphone has a big noise?

@TheFerbata Not sure if I understand the question. It will pick up big noises if they are in front of the mic. If they are behind it though, it won't pick up as well.

im fairly sure condensers are better for instrument recordings like drums and acoustic guitars, thanks for the review though (y)
