My final shoot in preparation for LA Got Aloha... Droplets of color splashing into water.
I've done water droplets before, and have set up much more complex rigs to do so, but found this setup to be more than adequate. While I definitely lost a few shots to dropping the color on the wrong place, I was overall able to capture quite a bit more by simply timing the droplet and my shutter by hand.
You can't really see the splashes themselves on the time-lapse, but watch the water slowly turning black and the resultant color splashed on the white foam background.
