    Actually, the Karmapa has spoken regarding the point made below - about the location and habitat in Tibet and the request for people to be vegetarian - even there, or especially there.     I was told in Tibet there used to be few Wild Animals Areas close to the Monasteries and run by them , that was never mentioned in discussion.

    And the second issue a great number of Tibetans and Monglians are herder like H.H. Karmapa's parent and the weather is harsh hardly grow any green, so it is regarding the environment cause why Tibetans are meat eater.
