@poolie626 You probably know by now, but there's several ways. The one that comes to mind first is Mecep. (check the spelling.) I know a Marine who only spent a few months in the fleet and then he went back home to school to become an officer. He wanted to start from private on up. He felt that if he was going to lead Marines, he learn first hand what it's like to be led. My MSgt said that that is what all enlisted Marines come into the fleet especting...'I want to be led'. Then comes leadership

Its not about the money, because I could have a made a lot more in the civilian world. It is about the young Marines, the backbone of the Marine Corps. It is my privilege and honor to lead these fine Marines. Thank you for your service, and I promise you my best.

thanks for everybody's support. It is obvious some people really have no idea about serving their country. Some people say it about the money, and that officers think they are better everybody. If you think that way, then I am feel sorry for you. When I was young Lcpl in Falluja 2004, there were two officers that mentor me and look after me and made sure I returned to my family. I decided that I want to return the favor and mentor and lead Marines so they too can do good things.
