  • Hate being a dick about this, but I find the sound in this video about as useful as an mp3 of the mona lisa. For a viewer to make any sort of valid comparison the amps should be micd. Camcorder mic just doesn't cut it.

  • @bilbomarks well i know thx its more of a fun project then a real sound thing, its the player not the gear

  • This guy who makes these videos must be quite rich! Super Reverbs cost more than 1000 bucks..

  • @Juicefani11 if you think i own all these amps then you are on the wrong way

  • @Harpsucker OK... Well... Did you borrow them? XD

  • @Juicefani11 yep

  • I'd take the Blackface over the Silverface any day of the week. The Blackface sounds warmer and more powerful. The Silverface registers in my mind as "shrill" in comparison.

  • I hear more clarity with the silver.

  • silverface sounds good with the harmonica and the blackface sounds good with guitars

  • the sound example is perfect enough for me I can tell exactly what Im hearing and what Im not hearing.. developed hearing while trying to not be a d*ck

  • I had my Silver Face retro fit to a Black Face configuration with great results. It doesn't take much (actually most of the changes involve removing things...) to do.

Worth it of you look at what a Black Face is worth.

  • I have both and love each one for what it brings~!..

  • the older one sounds way better.

  • @bilbomarks i notice a difference

  • So what I get out of this, you should feel guilty if you can afford a good amp?

  • @Juicefani11 i have a super reverb and im not rich by anymeans....i also have a bed and a guitar.....and yeah thats about it lol

  • @bilbomarks Hate being a dick about this, but it doesn't seem like you know much about "using your ear". You don't need to mic these amps to hear the difference. If you can't split the sounds up then you must be a rookie. Now go buy yourself a 100 watt solid state amp and get a modern day Blues Blaster.....that'll fix ya right up.....rookie

  • @bilbomarks

I dont think so, cause even if they´re micd teh sound will pass trough the camera´s mic, think bout this. We can diferentiate quite wel the tones of both amps..
