Chiropractor Dr Marc Desjardins talks about cholesterol and the problems posed by the introduction of 'statin' drugs to artificially lower it.
Maybe a better diet and lifestyle would be a better option to try first?

  • At 75 my father was pretty healthy. He was strong and had no arthritis, was mentally sharp and independent. At a checkup Dr said he had plaque in one of his arteries (from what I saw it never really bothered him). From the time he started taking statins until his death his body and mind fell apart, he died of a hemorrhaging stroke at 79. Before he died he was on oxygen, had amnesia, muscle wasting to name a few. I really wish I would have known statin side effects when he started that poison.

  • @tickyul I am so sorry to hear what you have told me.

I USED to trust doctors, now I think they are more interested in taking financial backhanders from drug companies, or orders from central government, than put our health first.

People used to live to 90 or more without taking statins.

Think : does the governmet REALLY want us to live longer, when the welfare system cannot cope as it is?

    Do they REALLY want it?

  • Statins do much damage. I have a calf muscle that tore due to taking this garbage. Looked it up and found it by accident that statins can cause muscle wasting.

Now I worry what else it did to me.

  • @bbcweatherman My dad went from being mentally very sharp and physically healthy to being mentally and physically wrecked, I blame the vile statins. I think you make a valid point about the cozy relationship between doctors and drug companies. The side effects for a lot of these drugs are a lot higher, I suspect, than the drug companies let on. Have you checked out the website "Askapatient", very interesting and enlightening.
