EVERYONE needs to realize the old DELTA is dead and gone, along with the handshake deal and my word is my bond. You're working for a giant coorperation to which you are just a number with a cost associated with it, if they can lower that cost with another number/person, they're going to because they're in the business of making money, not supporting your family. Here's to AFA, and here's to us, may we keep the union and keep our jobs...

This video shows to be false the argument that infers that a direct relationship can only be achieved without a contract. The assertion that having a voice will somehow erase a relationship with management is kind of insulting.
If this relationship is built on respect then the flight attendants getting more equal footing should strengthen the relationship. However, if the relationship is simply patronizing and patriarchal then having a contract could have an impact on said relationship.

It is much better than playing the cat and mouse game between the employer and the employee. We have always been taught , DID YOU GET THIS IN WRITING ? DO YOU HAVE THAT IN WRITING ? Get it . The company knows how to keep the F/A right at the edge , so your are not totally happy or totally unhappy . Delta have special people hired just to do that. Keep you confused about the facts all the times . And create an illusion to make you think that we really care . COME ON GUYS , WAKE UP .

to all the morons who think you dont need a union . you are soo narrow minded all you can think of is the money you are going to pay . ( which can be tax diductoble by the way ) you pay car insurance , and almost never use it , some pay home insurance and almost never use it . but when you need it , it is there . stop looking on one diriction only . see the whole picture . there is no good of both evils . however , when you have something in writing ,

Once again, why pay extra if you already have a relationship with management. I don't believe AFA 'guarantees" anything. According to one of your speakers, a contract "GUARANTEES" a personal relationship. What kind of bull is that? A union can only gurantee ONE thing...that you will be forced to pay them money.

So why pay all the money if we already have a direct relationship with management. FA Stripling even states that there is NO difference in her relationship with or without a union.
So again, WHY DO WE NEED A UNION?
No WAY AFA!!

One of the arguments we hear over and over is that with a union we will lose a "direct relationship" with management. This is a falsehood -- simply not true and just a phrase cooked up by the union avoidance firms hired by Delta to make employees think that with a union they will not have contact with management. ALL THE WAY AFA!!!!!!

Relationship is everything in business. What a great video. Contracts work for both parties signing on to it. Contract defines expectations and sets boundaries. It allows relationship to be fluid and comfortable between all employees.

Great video.

Anyone who thinks having a contract interferes with a relationship, just ask Delta management (those with contracts).

They seem to be quite happy!
