"So I implore you, I entreat you, and I challenge you to speak with conviction- to say what you believe in a manner that bespeaks the determination with which you believe it." <3

It's not intellectual cowardice to say "I don't know," since there is nothing to ascribe to the cowardice. I would argue that it's actually more intellectually cowardly to say "I know" when you have no justification for believing those words, since you are scared to accept ignorance.
What is the retarded "that"? I take offense to your unjustified and unnecessary denigrations.

That's retarded. Way to embrace intellectual cowardice.

That is not what the message of the poem is, it's ok to be wrong. It's just that no one says anything wit certainty, that they100% BELIEVE what they are saying ,, even if they are wrong, its speaking what YOU believe NOW.

Great use of typography, but I disagree with the message. Most often, those with the greatest conviction about a topic are those least educated about it.

I'm not certain about that. I already said this, so please read.
Indeed, he is not saying to question, he is saying to not question. "You know?" and "right?" are questions. You can tell by the question marks.
I'll rephrase so you might understand: He says we should not ask those questions at the end of our statements. I say it's actually smarter, albiet less practical, if we do. We can't meaningfully "declare things to be true" unless we know things. And we don't even know what "knowing" is.

is there a version of this without the laughter coming from the audience? but anyway, this is very true, sadly. but I'll admit that I'm very guilty of having done this on more than one occasion. -_____-' never again! Lol...

This isn't about never questioning your own beliefs or re-examining them. This is speaking as if you're so open-minded, not one belief, fact, or conviction can stay in there. That rising question noise at the end of a declarative sentence is the equivalent of saying, "though everything I just said is negotiable depending on your reaction."
