@wantalicence, i know this is a onld comment, but it sounds weak because it is being free-aired, so in other words, less bass. much less. also, i have to agree they don't look overly attractive, but i can get two of those (over here in AUS they are Pioneer not Premier) for less than $900 and in total have two subs with a total rating of 7000 watts and they are only 12"
that is better than a lot of other stuff you can get. good quality too.

If you give a sub too many watts free air, supposedly they can easily over excursion or flex too much and blow. I know that that sub has some kind of anti over excursion air suspension mechanism though. I have three of them.
