  • Great video,I would also like to see a video lesson on the develop module. Great work as always Mark!

  • This video help a lot. It would be great if there was a link to the the previous episode on this one.

  • @beepIL My name is Avi

  • Hi Mark,

I watched all the episodes and first of all i want to thank you for all your effort as it is helping me a lot!

I've been lurking a lot in photography forums and i see all the time people talk about diffraction,

they say that if you go above f/11 you'll start losing sharpness due to diffraction...

yet i see you go in the studio way above f/11 and on many other situations,

could you explain diffraction? and on what conditions it will and will not damage the image sharpness?

  • Great stuff! How about the develop module?

  • Thanks Mark for this VERY informational two part series! It has really helped me utilize Lightroom more efficiently.

  • @xmeerzx There aren't exactly "Levels" sliders in Lightroom, but there are other things there that do the same and more in it under the Develope tab. That includes Exposure, Fill Light, Blacks, and Brightness under the "Basic" tab, and the Highlights, Lights, Darks, and Shadows under the Tone Curve tab. Mess around with those and you can get the same results as you can with levels. =)

  • how do you adjust levels on lightroom? on aperture you can do it easily

  • I just downloaded the demo version of Lightroom and have a question. If i import the files from my card reader using Lightroom and then edit them, does Lightroom save an unedited copy of the original file somewhere for me, or have I irreversibly altered the file that I imported. Anyone?

  • Quick question Mark - The last I heard Facebook reserves the rights to all uploaded photos, Can you keep your copyright or creative commons license by disclaiming it in the meta data or does Facebook really negate this?
