what is the point of arguing over 3 hours? THE POINT IS JESUS DIED FOR US AND PUT HIS ENTIRE EXISTANCE AS A HUMAN BEING ON THE LINE TO HANG ON THE CROSS FOR THAT DAY! HE SUFFERED MORE THEN WE EVER WILL CUZ HE DID IT FOR ALL OF US! WHATS THE POINT IN DEBATING OVER???

@notjustamuse thats true, but those three hours were in total abandonmend from God, the rest of his life he sufferd just like you and me if we follow Jesus, but those three hours, the cup of the wrath of God was poured out over Him.

They r not saying christ suffered just 3 hours, they are saying that us as people in sin living in hell is nothing compared to just 3 hours Jesus suffered

How can it be that in 3 hours Christ suffered the penalty that the unconverted will pay forever in hell? Because he is infinitely worthy!

Christ didn't just suffer for 3 hours. His entire life was defined by the transfer of pain from the leper who wasn't welcome in public - when Christ healed him, Christ was then confined to the outskirts of town -- to the cross. His life was a suffering that he endured. Not just three hours.
