Big tune C.1970/71 (late Wheel?), it then became more readily available in the UK, and turned up regularly on record lists thereafter before getting a revival in more recent times. Now it's suddenly "rare" again, apparently!

fab, my brother was a hardened soul fan and dj. he travelled the country to the all nighters and played all the good stuff to me as a kid. this was one of my favourites alongside major lance um um um and the poets suberb she blew a good thing. brings back good memories. i still have a few in my collection including this which i nicked off my bro when i left home!!.

@leigy It certainly is, would you believe I've listened to this track since I bought it on the SOUL label in 1966, and have always played it ever since!! Frances was spotted at a talent contest and signed to do that record, but I've a feeling there's some forgotten tracks in Motown's vaults, I'm sure, the reverse was called "Fight Fire With Fire" :-) JOHN
