Were there really three wise men at the birth of Jesus? And why is the start of Matthew so "boring" to modern ears? More at http://www.bibledex.com/

  • @carlsontechnology The word "orient" means "east". Astrology was a big part of Babylonian and Persian religion, and they were both located east of Judea.

  • Why did that guy need to go to Israel to realize that standing above your audience is a good way to project your voice?

  • Need a little help, thanks:

At 2:16 "...Matthew and Luke that relate to 'ntivity'..." I can't quite make out what he's saying there.

    Very interesting videos, much appreciated!

  • I have heard that the wise men weren't from the orient. I don't remember the whole explanation, but it said that the the wise men (who were priests of some sort) were exposed to the idea of the Messiah from old testament information that they received when the Jews were exiled in Babylon.

  • Great video!
