  • Thanks so much for posting! Any chance you could post the 'No Word from Tom' aria?

  • I will post it next month, the DVD I got this stuff from is out on loan now.

  • `Thank you for this posting. I have

mixed emotions watching this.I know the characters are Tom and Anne, but it's almost like Dawn Upshaw herself is singing to Jerry Hadley himself shortly before his own tragic death. Is that just a weird emotion being brought up in me, or do others see the irony, also?

  • Well ... now I weep

  • Any local music libraries around? Even if they don't have it, they might be able to borrow it from another library for you.

  • Just amazing, how fine she sings. Love it very much! Thank you for sharing

    Best regards

  • She has a truly amazing voice

  • That is just what I was thinking about while I watched the video. Hadley had someway his kind of "progress", from heaven to hell, as well as Tom Rakewell, a role he had played many times.

  • Pure and beautiful. Thank you. Dawn Upshaw is so moving. Thank you for posting

  • I really would like to learn this aria for a recital! It is so beautiful. I have only seen the full score of The Rake's Progress for $150. Anyone know how I can get the sheet music for this piece?? I have the music for I Go, I Go to Him in an American Aria song book, which I plan on learning.

  • thanks so much for posting this opera...will you post the end of the first act ? that would be so great...

  • Interesting production! I still feel sad about Jerry's passing.
