Congressman Farenthold: Save Wind Energy Jobs

On July 30, the Sierra Club launched a series of high-saturation television, radio and online ads, highlighting Rep. Blake Farenthold's (TX) failure to act on the renewal of the production tax credit (PTC) for wind energy and the preservation of tens of thousands of American jobs. The ads are a part of the Sierra Club's Wind Works campaign, an effort working to renew the wind energy Production Tax Credit. The wind industry currently supports more than 75,000 jobs across the country, but if the PTC is not renewed by the end of the year, as many as half of these jobs could be lost.

Wind power should stand on its own two feet in a free market, not on the back of the taxpayers. Follow the money trail ! Don't think for a second that someone isn't getting rich over wind energy production tax credits. Let's see .... where does the Sierra Club actually get the majority of its donations to make these polished video presentations and the funds to bus students to state and national capitals ?
