I had a question i am a new mom to a 7 month old baby boy he does the hand things ery much and shakes his head no when we say meow lol i was a little concerned any help or advice from anyone?

My son did the exact same thing and he is 10 months old now, barely does these things at all anymore. She is precious!!

my girl does the same thing...I was a little freaked but my mind is at ease hearing that your baby stopped...I guess it's pretty common.

Has your baby been evaluated for any neurological condition? The hand motions and head shake are something we are concerned about for our twin sons. Your baby does the same thing, and our pediatrician does not know what it is. Any ideas? Has your baby stopped doing it?

Her head shaking and hands were a very short phase for her. She is now 16 months old and does not do this any more. She did the hands thing for about 2-3 months max. We were not concerned about this and did not have her evaluated for any problems. It may just be that they are beginning to develop some new motor skills and like the feeling of the head shake or the hand movement.
