"The Look" is a song and single from the 1988 album, "Look Sharp!", by Roxette. The album was released on EMI Records and was produced by Clarence Öfwerman and Adam Moseley. The album was a worldwide success with total sales exceeding 9 million. The album topped the Swedish Albums Chart while peaking at #4 on the UK Albums Chart and #23 on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart. "Look Sharp!" is platinum and multi-platinum certified in several countries including Canada, the UK, the U.S. and Sweden, among others.
"The Look" was written by Per Gessle. The single was released on EMI and produced by Clarence Öfwerman. The single was Roxette's first big international hit, hitting the top of the charts in several countries, including Australia, Italy, the U.S. and the UK.
The music video for "The Look" was directed by Peter Heath.
