Zahir Shah was the son of Rahim Panjshiri´s brother Abol Wafa Razmyar Panjshiri. It´s not that they adoptet Persian it goes much deeper. Read the new book of Tajik Afghanistani nationalist Sharmal ''al-Khorasani'' where he write that Persianspeaking 'Pashtuns' are in fact not Pashtuns but children of Tajiks, Iranians and even of Uzbeks and Hazaras.Their mothers ran and still run toward Persianspeaking non-Pashtuns, enjoy their time with them, get pregnant and when they return back to their real husband they claim the child as theirs. So they child get a Pushtun.

Well, the ethnical situation in Herat is a bit different. In Herat there are only a small branch of the Sadozais who trace their origine to Ahmad Shah´s tribe but also to the native population and Iranian population of the region. Many ''Pashtuns'' are in fact non-Pashtuns who just adoptet their tribal name. That´s why they were assimilated by the Persian population of the region very fast, tough actually living outside of the main centres. So, many Tajiks became by name Pasht

What is your ''culture''? It depends whom you represent. You represent Kharkusswali ''culture'' than you have no culture, if you represent Nauroz culture than you have indeed ''farhang'' but where is the differnces between Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan in the case of culture and history?
