This is an excellent video. I followed this video to install the same product (Badger 5, 1/2 HP). I've never installed an insinkerator before and have limited plumbing/wiring talent, but this video made it possible. It also saved me $400+ from having to hire a plumber.

Great video, totally helped me. The comment from rigbym99 also helped ... I had just finished the install, started the dishwasher, and came back to my computer, and saw that comment, and RAN back to the disposal to get that dishwasher plug out. Thank goodness I read that comment. The video was so good I didn't even bother reading the instructions that came with the unit. THANKS ALL.

I'm guessing since you did not attach a dishwasher drain line you did not punch out the plug that is inside the other hose fiting towards top of disposal. I'm trying to hook mine up and have realized that no water is able to get ino the disposal. That is what I am going to try now.
