I bought this at Fry's Electronic's back in early March 2008 for $219.95 + tax and I had this for about 2 weeks then i sold it to a neighbor for what I paid for it plus my gas to get it from fry's a 30 mile round trip ... then I seen this same one at Millionbuy for $149.99 and I bought the one that I have now from millionbuy and I just recently checked their price and it has gone up to $199.99 like everywhere else. This is a little video I made showing 2 things, 1. that the woofer's do move & that you can play any source through this like I am playing my sony CASSETTE Walkman through it, yes i am playing a cassette !!!!

  • lol i knew u were going to respond with your video. i should be getting a i931 soon after finishing my project.. i have more stuff to do with my modded trc 975

  • i can guarantee you that a 256kb bitrate mp3 or higher is gonna have quite a bit more fidelity (and will contain more of the high frequencies) than a cassette tape.

these old ghettoblasters are great, but were never truly considered high fidelity...

  • @DecentMan4you yea i dont think u shud :S things could backfire on me

  • i have a question, i just got one of these about 2 days ago and it sounds like it"s underpowered to me.......meaning no bass at all, i was just wondering if there"s a way to change the amp inside and replace it with a more powerful one, to push the speakers properly and get it to sound a bit better.......because this is by far one of the worst sounding radios i"ve owned it"s not even in the same ballpark as my sony mega bass radio as far as sound quality

  • this is not 'work' this is what I Do I collect 'boombox's' to find the correct all-around model to carry around ! and when I can I put a video on here showing what these older models can do.

  • So I heard. Ebay even has 20 year-old models available for bid/sale. I wasn't really fond of iPods until this year (and still could care less a bit.) When I am ready, I am sure I will find the right model. I always do. Thanks for letting me know. Keep up the good work.

  • Well this specific one in this video was sold a long time ago and I now have another one of these just like this one in this video but brand new in the box, and these can be found to this day on ebay for sale ...

  • You miss nothing :-) I remember seeing this Lasonic model for sale earlier this year.
