Scammed bought a laptop from me, broke it, then demanded a full refund six weeks later. eBay sided with him, and this is what he returned to me.

  • I am an eBay Top-Rated Seller, and the way to avoid this scam is to cover up one of the screw holes with a sticker from a retail store (that can't be removed and reattached since they have small slits in the paper). Then these scumbag parts swappers can't take an item apart, and then send it back as "broken" for a refund. I also note on the invoice that the removal of the sticker voids any guarantees or warranties. Sometimes I also note the serial number on the invoice too. It has worked for me.

  • @jimbotuna Wow, that is a fantastic idea! I'll make sure to do that in the future, assuming I go back to using eBay again. Lately I've been selling everything via Amazon and so far that experience has been vastly superior and more profitable.

  • no wonder it was broken the mac didnt like to be shiped in a dell box i would be pissed if i was tht mac

  • @mxslugger27 Serious LOL. Maybe I did indeed anger the Apple shipping gods.

  • So i sold this gameboy advance, was in perfect condition, showed pics of it working and yada yada yada, i have a 100% feedback rating, its been a week since gameboy was delivered and this lady is saying the gameboy shuts down and turns on its own? I know she's gonna ask for cash back but how do i go about solving this problem i know this lady is lying!

  • @alexmacabees14 Lmaooo xD That Messs Up

  • @jimbotuna I discovered Amazon about three years ago, and it's way easier to use than eBay. You also don't get questions such as "what color is that black purse you are selling?". There are, though, scammers on there as well. People buy things and claim they don't work, and want a refund (since Amazon has the "A to Z Guarantee"). I always call their bluff, and tell them to send the original item or items back for a refund, of course at their cost. Often times, I do not hear back from them again.

  • Sucks bro :(

  • go see your solicitor

  • Also I would NEVER sell anything over $100 on Ebay it just ain't worth the headaches
