@Dynamikwun Agreed. We should also consider that Diego had a similar history in the WC to Messi at his age - both overlooked in their late teens (completely so in Diego's case in '78 but Messi also missed out on '06 loss to Germany), then neither being quite ready in early '20s to carry faltering sides in '82 and '10. People make the mistake of rushing to compare Messi to Diego's '86 campaign in his prime, better off waiting to 2014 when Messi is 26/27 to definitively judge.

Besides Maradona and Destefano..The Greatest Soccer player from Argentina...and certainly better than Messi who never shows up outside the club level.
