Brief documentation of the opening reception for the Disinformation "Rorschach Audio" exhibition at The Gallery, Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK, 1 Dec 2008, filmed by Poulomi Desai. Headphones recommended.

The opening event at Goldsmiths featured Strange Attractor and Disinformation performing live "Circuit Blasting" over the top of the "Rorschach Audio" sound installation, and the exhibition also featured the "Spellbound" and "Fire in the Eye" videos. Sound design was by Joe Banks and Mark Pilkington, and the exhibition was presented using a concert-power stereo sub-bass system that (although it's difficult to tell from this video) shook the building. A short clip of "Fire in the Eye" (subtitled "Painting with Electricity") is visible at 1:30. The still photographic version of "Fire in the Eye" was made in 2004, and exhibited at Wrexham Art Centre in 2006 and at the Saltburn Gallery in 2007, while the film version was made in 2007 and premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2008.

The exhibition at Goldsmiths University followed a "Rorschach Audio" installation that appeared in "Moths To A Flame" at T1&2 Gallery (with Makiko Nagaya, James Early and Johnny Vivash) in Oct 2008. After the exhibition at Goldsmiths College, a "Rorschach Audio" mix based on the sounds presented at Goldsmiths was commissioned by Palais de Tokyo in Paris...
