  • Our place is in our wandering and extravagant mind too. We must acknowledge the need for flourishing. But fundamentally, Berry is absolutely right. He points the way towards undoing our exploitative mind which is a key point. However, he acknowledges elsewhere how important it is to see our interdependence on the exploiters, who will also undermine any attempt at changing course, who will argue that it is too late. It is never too late. We have a moral duty towards the species and the world.
