Glen Falls in Highlands NC

We went to Highlands NC for some hiking and fall color viewing. I really enjoyed this trail although it was rather difficult on the way back for me as the trail was pretty steep. The trail has lots of tree roots sticking out of the ground that kind of work like steps up the mountain trail.

The water fall was really spectacular as we have had so much rain this fall.

After this past weekend our Fall trail hiking will have to be within closer proximity to home as I now have baby birds to feed and can't leave them for more than 5 hours. So....next weekend we will be hiking closer to home.
