Colin Goddard, a survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech school shooting, is an advocate with the Brady Campaign, a non-profit aimed at enforcing sensible gun laws. He is also the subject of the new documentary "Living for 32." (Dec. 30)

VT was a gun free zone.

So other colleges should be gun free zones?

Does getting shot give you a pass to be a moron and promote legislation that risks lives? I'm sorry, I'm not going to be polite because of his experience. He somehow thinks the idea of being allowed to defend yourself as an evil thing. Nothing he's promoted makes anyone safer, would have stopped Cho, would have saved his friends.

@Maxwedge12000 Did you hear about what happened in 1992? A friendly Japanese exchange student named Yoshi Hattori was with his friend for a halloween party. They went to the wrong house and the owner thought they were trespassing. He shot Yoshi and killed him. That is one of the things that started the Brady campaign. If you hate the Brady bill blame that guy for being a paranoid lunatic. And I don't want you guns. I just wish mentally ill people weren't allowed to have them.

It is for that exact reason, (besides recreation and hunting) that individuals should continue to have the uninfringed right to keep and bear arms. Cho was dangerous to the freedom of others, was he not? He did not follow the laws that prohibited him from 1) carrying into a college building, 2) using deadly force with intent to kill. So again, how do GUN FREE ZONES stop these types of incidents?
