The success of the new government in Iraq rests on one man. Ayotollah Sistani has the power to unseat any government and unleash civil war.

"If Ayatollah Sistani declares Jihad, I will put down my tools, say farewell to my family, and go to war," declares one man. Another refers to him as "our nuclear timebomb." Sistani hasn't left his house in six years and refuses interviews to anyone. But the vast majority of the country will do exactly as he asks, whatever it may be: Sistani is the leader of 180 million Shia Muslims worldwide. For now, he's urging moderation but the violence unleashed by his rival, Moqtada al-Sadr, who commands a fraction of the support of Sistani, reveals just how dangerous he could be if he called for jihad.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّـهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ﴿١٠٢﴾ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّـهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّـهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّـهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ﴿١٠٣﴾

@Zakah1 and @ 14sydhyder... so what did I earn and the Muslim Ummah Earn by you both scratching each other... Call me Sunnah Call me Shia... But I am Muslim and I have my own brothers argue with me, beat me up, and almost K***ed me. Alhmd lelah, I know how to forgive them and be the smarter... Past is past and future is wide open to unite Islam and to carry on the flag of the most peaceful Ummah and people on Earth... Salam to all of you :)

we have the same relationship with Mo'awiyya (ra) that Hasan ibn Ali (ra) had.

Hasan (ra) made peace with him and even became his close friend and we follow Hasan (ra) in this. We oppose what Mo'awiyya (ra) did at the time of Ali (ra) but later he corrected himself and became an acceptable Muslim ruler

It's you Shias who are contradicting the path of Ahlul Bayt, Ali (ra) accepted Abu Bakr (ra) and so do we, but you hate and insult Abu Bakr (ra), something that Ali (ra) never did

stop trying to deceive the Muslim Ummah, you dont follow Ali (ra) you follow your Maraje'e Taqleed who have different views and give different fatwas, yet you criticize the Sonnis for the same reason, lol

In fact the difference is that if we Sonnis find that our scholars contradicted the Quran we must follow the Quran, but Shias are required to blindly follow their Marja' no matter what he says, even if he clearly and openly contradicts the Quran!

@Zakah1:bro when u didnt understand the simple hadiths of prophet how can u claim to understand the quran? where ur 4 imams r giving 4 difft.fatwas.p.Mohd said "o Allah love him who loves Ali hate him who hates Ali" & "be a friend of him who is a friend of Ali be an enemy of the one who is an enemy of Ali" loving Ali is believing hating Ali is hypocrisy" so plz decide ur self for sake of p.Mohd whether talha, Zubair (cousin of Ali a.s), marwan son in law of kalif usman, ayesha & muawiya

@Zakah1: yes bro what u said is true. this ayat fits 4 sunnis those who called abdul qadir jeelani & many peers & murshads. atleast shias r calling those gr8 persons who have sacrificed everthing 4 sake of islam & his prophet.what is the status of ur abdul qadir & other peers compare to ahlul bayt. even ur imam shafie said it is mentioned in quran to love ahlul bayt. so decide urself how can anyone love the killers of imam hussain moaviya lanatullah who appointed yazid as his successor

let me show you an example from the Quran, one of hundreds of verses that contradicts the Shia ideology:

"Do not call onto any beings other than Allah these are capable of neither benefit nor harm. To do so is guilty of wrongdoing. When Allah inverts you with an affliction, none can remove it except Him." Qur'an 10: verses 106 and 107
