I had this done on 12/23/11 I was told that my stone was embedded however some of the stone has passed already. I won't know until I have another xray done how successful this was. I am glad I had it done b/c the size of my stone was 7mm big, (which is too big to pass on it's own). I was told any stone size five or bigger cannot be passed. My pain has been mild. Mostly feels like a mild back ache or cramps. As I only took pain medicine once after the procedure. Using ice pack helped too.

just had the ESWL last saturday. if you heard that it was a painless process, think again. pain threshold varies from people to people. it has been four days since my ops, i am still feeling pain and pass bits of blood. the doc gave me a straining device to pick up any fragments from my urine but to date, i only have fine sand-like particles. that's the worrying part. i am having periodical pain at the kidney and abdomen area. they are internal pain which worries me.

Ive had a 7mm stone stuck inside my right kidney for 3 weeks this coming Sunday. I had lithrotripsy done 5 days after I went to the ER when my attack first started and we discovered what what was wrong. As of one week ago the stone had not passed, seemed to only break in two peices. I wont know till next week when I see the doc to see if it passed with out me knowing. I only had pain for 9 days but trust me NINE days of horrible pains, SUCKS!! And im only 23
