The M3 was a dumb idea from the start. It was an obsolete take built for an obsolete idea of war fighting. It was really made as in Infantry support tank, but was used too often early in the war in tank on tank, and got pretty badly slaughtered.

@ffjsb Oh yes I figured that one out. The Scorpion Armoured Car we have was cut to bits by a film company and then blown up and stuck back together a few times until they got the shot they needed.

Shut up people. You obviously don't know the situation of the fighting in North Africa:

Essentially the Brits needed a decent tank for fighting the German panzers. But we had no shermans to supply them with yet. So to make up for we put a 75mm gun, one of the biggest on the field at the time, mounted it on this thing and the German's couldn't flank it and kill it without dealing against two.

@thra5herxb12s There's a reason "restored" had quotation marks, sarcasm. It's amazing they got it to move on it's own after being used as a target on a range. That's quite a feat in itself.
