Nathaniel became the first 3yo to land the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes since 2003 when denying last season's Derby victor Workforce in a dramatic renewal which saw Godolphin's Rewilding lose his life.
john gosden supplemented the winner at 75 grand for this race, you think there was ever gonna be any other outcome without that horse becoming the same demise of frankies?...
why was the video cut short?, this is why the UK is the laughing stock of the world, too many librals!! f'off, and i get email after email from at the races to sub with them, no thanks!
In a sense, Nathaniel reminds me a little of Harbinger. In the sense that both of them have appeared to be what I call Ascot specialist. Both of them also ran very well at other racetracks in the UK. But both have definitely been seen at their most dominant in the races that they've run at Royal-Ascot. Although I'd say that Harbinger was a more talented horse than Nathaniel, and that's not a knock at him in anyway. It's just a theory.
see what i mean about fatalities - big profile like rewilding, they have to mention it, captain john only got mentioned on sky text coz moore got injured, if no other horses were brought down by captain john, nobody would have mentioned he was put down - consistancy is all id like, whether its the last bend at wolverhampton or high profile at Ascot, give a shout to any 'fallen' hero
What a messy home straight effort that was, I think only one horse managed to run in a straight line. Classy win by the 3yo, but to be honest, the tragedy is what will stand out for me. I f*#$ing hate seeing horses go out like that. :(

Smart of O'Brien not to put So You Think in this race. At least Rewilding can say that it beat one of the greats in So You Think.
