&Is it just me or does she resemble a man in some pictures?

And btw she doesnt have it as hard as Edie Sedgwick. Whenever ppl think of her, they comment on her drug use.

@LawlietandLight Well that's your opinion if you think Gia looks like a man. You can't compare Edie Sedgwick to Gia. Edie didn't do anything but look pretty. Gia broke through what was thought of as pretty in her generation and is still regarded as one of the greatest supermodels ever.

Well, she was a beautifull supermodel, that is true. But everybody is talking about her addictions because this job, being supermodel is something she hated and because of it (amongst other things) she became a drug addict. So, I don't think that she would of wanted to be portrayed only as a pretty girl - but rather as a three dimensional person and a kind of rebel.

You're exactly right. But my point is, is that maybe there is TOO much focus on her drug habit and her AIDS diagnosis. Let's be honest, when you hear the name Gia Carangi you automatically think drug addict and oh what a shame. You don't wow when this women was in her prime, no one could have came close. She was the reigning supermodel. The point of this video is to focus on her job, not her life. We all know it was fucked up. We need these beautiful photos to remind us what an angel she was.
