Spring sunshine and steam on Roy Wood's Holt Wood Light Railway. Here Manning Wardle "Yeo" is hauling a heavy goods train through the lush, Spring growth. And yes I know that the stock has the wrong livery and some was not built when Yeo was in this early condition. It is all Lynton & Barnstaple though and is a mixture of Accucraft and Garden Railway Specialists kits. I have added just a little extra birdsong (from the Summerlands garden) at the beginning, but the chuff is exactly as it sounded! Oh yes - and I forgot the driver on this occasion.................

  • A Beautiful Loco, and at a realistic speed. Not express speeds as some videos show..

    Bob in New Zealand.

  • @22boblogan - Thanks Bob - nice to hear from you! Roy is now very experienced at slow driving and Yeo is just so docile. I have other locos where slow driving is a REAL challenge!

    Cheers

  • wow, really sums up what 16mil is about

  • @taliesinman - Thanks - glad you like it! This is such a great time of year for steam in the garden - especially 16mm!

  • Hi Chris, Another great little video from Summerlands Steam with some excellent shots and sounds of Roy’s Holt Wood Light Railway. Ignorance is bliss, as I have no idea what would be the correct rolling stock or livery as all I see is a hard chuffing miniature steam locomotive pulling some great rolling stock in the bright spring sunshine in an English garden. Simply Superb!

  • @PineTreeJunction - Thanks Lindsay - and you are right, your description sums up the magic for me too. There will be those that notice the liveries and details that aren't right - but this one really is about steam in a Spring garden!

    Cheers

  • @Summerlandsteam Hi Chris, Just so - and even 'Fun Time and Steam in the Spring Garden! Too long for a title but you know what I mean. Keep chuffing!

  • @railme69 - Thanks David - this loco is like the Roudhouse Fowler and Argyll - it will chuff for England at a scale walking pace with a good load on. I just love it!!

    Cheers

  • @DELTA1DSV - Thanks Roy - "Yeo" is such a docile runner and has such a loud voice!!
