Thanks so much for uploading this song. I went to Ole Miss and have their bands version as my only ringtone. This song stands for so much that is good in the South. Let us ALL pray that this way of life is not destroyed. I hope people take the time to understand the words and the true meaning behind them. God Bless us ALL. Our nation was built on God and will stand on God if only we honor Him. In public never be afraid to say thank you LORD.

I originally heard this song on an AM car radio when I was aout 13 and loved it then. I'm now 45 & still get goosebumps when I hear it. The arrangement does a great job tying together the songs for a common civil war story line; and inlcudes a wide range of dynamics & tempo's not common in pop music. .... Plus Elvis' baritone voice might add a little something too!
