Is there any way for someone to say what is being done to the airplane? Isn't it four years since it was delivered to the owner in flying condition? Thanks.

Is this the Collings Foundations' "White 1"?

@MrPhipper Indeed it is.

@airplaneboy10 I'm glad to see it running. I went to one of the California Wings of Freedom Tours, and asked one of the volunteers where the 262 was. He told me that they were having some problems getting it passed through the state. It's really disappointing that some people don't realize how important this history is to everyone.

@MrPhipper The problem for Collings is that he wants to sell rides in it, which is against the FARs for an Experimental category aircraft. If the airplane is historically significant to the US, then the FAA will allow it; i.e. the F-4 and A-4. Unfortunately, the aircraft is historically significant to the history of flight and to Germany, so Collings needs to pull some strings to get by. Otherwise we're still working away to make the airplane safe and functional.

Korey Wells, the head of the project, is at the controls in the front, Brian Sanders is in the back. not that close to flying, lotta work to be done still...
