A "prophet of God" is someone like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel: they were prophets "after the fact". Or, in other words, because they had (already) prophesied, they were known by their works: their prophecies. They were called prophets because that was something that they DID!
Hinckley never prophesied. He was a wannabe: "sustained" as something he wasn't, by OTHER wannabes---YOU, the members!

He was a giant amongst Us! Thank you for this beautiful tribute! The tears just flowed as I reflected on my personal moments with a Prophet..I loved so deeply. He made us all "taller" my his counsel and love. I love you my dear Prophet and hero...
