  • Hello, please can you tell me what type of furnace or kiln was used to melt the Bronze, and did you use Bronze ingots or you 'made it from scratch' using Copper and Tin?

  • @Moviesmoveme ....The furnace uses natural gas and is designed to move the flame in a circular motion around the crucible. The meltdown of the metal, bronze ingots and scrap bronze is done at 2300° F and poured when all is melted, this usually take one half hour. The pouring temperature is about 2100° F. The Silicon Bronze is called Herculoy 876 and is about 92% copper, 4% Silicon and 4% Zinc.

  • Not sure, it's a classic music piece played by a local orchestra....with a bronze pour beat....

  • Kind of wonderful, isn't it....

  • thanks for the comment... I poured my first piece a month ago... it is very exciting
