Played on an emulator. No savestates or slowdown used.

Single segment run played on Normal difficulty. Final time from gaining control (character select screen) to losing control (final victory pose) is 34:06.

This run is not without its mistakes, but at the same time I got very lucky in certain parts and a deathless run with Egon is nothing to sneeze at in and of itself.

  • just wondering why you decided to pick egon?

  • He's the fastest character, so he's the natural choice for a speedrun. It does make survival a lot harder, but his running speed and jumping ability save a bunch of time over the course of the game.

  • creepy snowman is creepy

  • Best old school GB game along with the arcade game but the NES game was a total shitfeast, i remembered getting this when i was 11 during the year i got my Genesis and it blew me away as it was finally a good GB game.

  • Ray... Peter.... Egon... But not Winston, he's on vacation.

  • When you play ghostbusters on xbox you get kind of...disapointed with this game.

  • @Predatorocks

Early graphics are stylized because they obviously couldn't be realistic. The bobblehead look makes the characters recognisble and fits the game's quirky humor.

A sidescrolling game where you had to use the beam and trapper on every ghost would be incredibly tedious and slow everything down. Sometimes staying true to the license hurts the gameplay. However New Ghostbusters 2 on NES has you play 2 characters, one with the proton pack and one with the trapper. Check it out.

  • Where's Winston?

  • this game is a jewel man

  • Maaaaaaaan, does this bring back the memories!
