Wing Chun Freestyle blocking and attacks

Its rare to see someone in Wing Chun actually block anything. The vast majority of times you only see attacking of the teacher to his student, in order to hide his inability to actually block anything. But in this demonstration, you see all kinds of different blocks being used to counter attacks, and you see how simple body motions combined with different footwork techinques deflect the blow. Finally, more concentration for students should be focused on blocking, coz if you can block attacks at will, you'll see at the end, you can attack at will.

Chi Sao Demo is allright, however the description is a little inaccurate, one of the principles of WC is simultaneous attack and defense so one usually blocks with accompanying attacks. It is extremely common too see blocks in the WC style as it part the balance principle, perhaps you saw another artform or a bad sifu?

to headbutt anybody you have to close the distance, thus part of the usefulness of Wing Chun's trapping range skills.
