'Turn Us On' by Lórien is one of those odd self-referential songs, and it has nothing to do with the vid's story ... except that it has everything to do with it because something about the tension and momentum of it triggered the idea in my head.
It starts fully (film-)canon - Cedric's dying and Voldemort's return. How-ever, Hermione never handed in that time-turner...
Plan one is to stop Cedric and Harry in the maze. Fails, and in desperation to escape they go back further for -
Plan two, keeping Neville from telling Harry about gillyweed. They figure, hey, he'll have no solution, get out of the lake pretty fast and forfeit the lead. Fails, and both past and future Harry are gone. (It was pretty much impossible to get Harry out of some scenes, so there are a lot of 'Trotsky's hand' moments from this point on.)
So plan three: Ron will poison his past-future self before he can stop Neville, keeping past-Harry alive and leaving future-Hermione to go back and fix it in a better way. She argues, but gives up as they run out of, uh, past-time. Well, they don't want *four* of each of them running around, do they? (Yes, it's the twins drinking in that shot, but one of them is supposed to be Ron. Cheating is fun, I condone it!)
Plan four, Hermione gets into 'Moody's' office to destroy the Polyjuice and free the real Moody - but the fake bursts in and nearly kills her.
Plan five, pretty desperate by now: Go back to the World Cup and stun Crouch Jr. so he'll be caught. He catches Hermione instead.
Call it an anti-time travel propaganda film!
