New Deal built post office, with art deco motifs. Date Completed: 1937

It sure is one of the more fancy ones that I've seen from that era.

  • @HerAeolianHarp LA is one of the few cities that still has a significant amount of Art Deco left. I haven't seen that movie.

  • I love art deco motifs, though there are few in SF, more in the East Bay. Thanks for sharing this. LA has so much more of the style. Last weekend I was in one rare deco building on Telegraph Hill here in SF. Have you seen "Dark Passage"? It's the deco-looking apartment building in that Bogart film.
