  • Thank you! It is primarily triple-fretted (bass first six unfretted, next four up double-fretted) in yellow birch, basswood naturals with walnut sharps, capped with bone. The soundboard is spruce; he used the Zuckermann King of Spain design as his departure point, and went off from there! If I were better on the lyre I might have one of yours as well!

  • Very informed playing.

  • Please give us a more precise name for the toccata you are playing. I want to find this sheet music. Would it be in Book I or Book II of the toccatas?

  • Wow, what an expressive instrument--it truly sounds alive, and your sensitive playing doesn't hurt either! It seems like it would be rather unforgiving to play though, being so sensitive to minute differences in finger pressure, even worse than a Viennese fortepiano. I hope to be able to play the Frescobaldi Toccatas one day.

  • Wonderfully played!

And the clavichord is also beautiful.

  • Incredibly well done. I wish I could play clavichord this well!

  • beautiful!! I am presuming its triple fretted, but can you tell me what model clavichord Yves Beaupré based this on?

  • It is so beautiful <3 Really nice playing.
