I wouldn't say Muraki is gay, just because he relentlessly chases the swashbuckling, but lame hero. His sexual desire is clearly aroused irrespective of sex.

There are many occasions in the anime, for example - forgive me, I have forgotten the episode number - in the episode where he brings a singer to life. He compliments her beauty and it appears that he was intimate with her.

He also has a fiance, and not to mention how easily he lures woman, it cannot be accomplished without seduction.
