  • tomtom rerouted me through south haven back in early june

how long has the Shoo Fly shop been closed? i saw it on the drive through heading to witchta

  • @Kdutch You are so right. It is a peaceful, lovely place. However, the hidden road leads to the Chicaskia River, not the Ninnescah!!

  • During a stressful time in life, I moved with my young children, from the bustle of Wichita, to South Haven, KS on an ad in a newspaper. Although the drive was over an hour one way to my job, I could not believe the peace. I loved it. We did experience a middle of the night tornado, we survived it but never forgot. The town has a bison farm, and a wonderful hidden road to the Ninnescah River near the Oklahoma border, where the fishing is incredible. It was the most peaceful time imaginable.

  • I'm thinking of doing my Au Pair year in Kansas because it's nice and quiet and I think the landscape is really beautiful. Romantic. It's hard finding such places in our world today.

  • Better then the city hearing druggies talk all night and cars driving fast.

I live out in the country near a town called Masterton in New Zealand.

  • Looks awfully flat but still a beautiful part of creation. The background music is enchantingly beautiful.
