My first real attempt at special effects animation using Adobe After Effects. Major thanks to the creators of "Ryan Vs Dorkman" for the unedited footage to practice one.
The clip contains quite a number of errors and mistakes, but I doubt you will notice them as much as I do. I'm really pleased with this, and really proud... it took a LOT of trial and error but I got there in the end.

@linuxfreak23 As far as I know, Andrew Kramer uses masks? I had to animate the masks frame by frame to obscure the saber.

@linuxfreak23 Ahhhh gotcha, just went you mentioned masks I automatically thought you meant how did I mask out some parts. I used the plugin from Andrew Kramer.
