Fear is what motivates anti gun activists. An emotional response is not appropriate for a rational discussion of any issues of governance. The contradictions associated with a free society where personal safety is unlawful are illustrated by this fear based law.

Thank you for becoming a co-sponsor of H.R. 308 to ban deadly assault clips, like the one used by the Tucson shooter to kill 6 people and injure 13 others.

I appreciate your leadership on this issue to ban these deadly ammunition magazines that can hold 30, 50 or even 100 rounds of ammunition, enabling shooters to injure or kill many people in a matter of seconds before needing to reload.

What do you mean "that weak?" I lived in a large city for a long time and when I went out I tried to remember to have $15-20 on me so if someone robbed me a that would not get further angered by my having no money. Had a enighbor who got robbed while at home and he was a very well trained "spook". He did not bring his gun out because he did not want to shoot anyone. He had been in about a dozen fire fights and told me how horrible it was. Most people that kill people have horrible guilt.

@mojosfun How exactly does the NRA subvert the Constitution? The only argument you might could make for that is that the 2nd amendment is meant to apply to the national guard. But why in God's name would have to be an amendment that says that the MILITARY can posses firearms? That makes no sense at all.

If you are attacked you are going to crap in your pants and start crying. Then if you have 5 IQ points you are going to give the person what they want. That is what reasonable people have the discipline to do. I know you NRA boys have big fantasy lives about defending yourselves but it seldom happens that way. I know you have all this Government paranoia but if the Gov really wanted you they would just trace this message. Knives are not only made to kill people, you re saying your gun is!

@mojosfun What "NRA lies"?... Seriously, if I am attacked ANYWHERE, whether in my home, or out on the street, by that criminal with a gun.... If i dont have a means to defend myself then what are my odds of staying alive. You just basically gave them an unwritten license to kill, rape and pillage. If you have trained LEO's, then you are part of the problem. Everywhere opencarry has been passed, crimerates actually went down (FBI statistics).

I have trained 1000's of law enforcement officers, talked to scores of murderers, trained with SWAT team and helped put gunshot victims back together while you have lived in your little fantasy gun world. If you have been a victim, man up and get treatment. You live an illusion if you believe this "I'm gonna defend myself crap". How do you think the criminals get guns. They have buyers or they steal them. Stop the proliferation, stop the NRA LIES.
