WOW,what an awesome song,their sound is so unique and their lyrics so well thought out.I am blown away by their ability to write songs that are so magnetic and audio-orgasmic!!!

Never heard it before, nice tune.
Good story, davisbloke, thank you for sharing.

@zaftra Glad you like it, yes they were influenced by folk music amongst many other genres. He did make some on royalties yes. They still write and record together under the name 'The Boy Tate'

@lajeunefilleenvert You can get it for 69p on am. Had a listen to the sample, it is well different and good too. Almost got a folk style of vocals. To be hoped he made a bit on royalties.

@lajeunefilleenvert Top tune.
-
@zaftra his best friend and fellow band mate wrote it yes
-
@lajeunefilleenvert did he write it and did he look as good as Sarah Blackwood?
-
@MartiW not since strangely is two syllables and unexpectedly is five, screw up the scan of the melody I'd imagine.

Very clever band - their formula was an upbeat tempo with a catchy melody, sweetly sung vocals with angelic harmonies... and totally twisted and sinister lyrics.

Christmas '95 I was helping out at an open house for homeless/vulnerable people. There was a lady in her 70's/80's sat in an armchair, her elbows on the arm rest, A radio was on in the background and when this song came on she clenched a fist and started to pump it in time to the beat.
The power of music - the power of an awesome tune.
