  • hands down, one of the nicest people ive ever met. always inspires people to play from the heart

  • The Toms are tuned how they are purposely, They sound absolutely amazing by the way, They are tuned for Jazz and Latin, In other words, They are tuned for music.

  • I really want to take lessons with this guy. In fact, I will as soon as i find a way to contact him.

  • @Drumlord009

This is exactly the opposite approach to what Stewart Copeland did when he'd witnessed all the arena and festival drummers with their low tuned drums losing definition in the mix. He inspired generations of drummers to cut through amplified music by tuning the batter side tighter.

  • OMG.. this guy is legit...

  • Great style

  • lol!

    tightened his drums untill what?

untill the sound from the drum was satisfying of corse.

Even I tune my drums and I am an amateur. sometimes I go for the tempered system tones such as A (440hz) or C or D or something depending of the drum. And sometimes I go for matching skin with timber. This is my preference because of the dissonance from perfectly tuned drums that slides down a few hertz.

  • @Drumlord009 I like that sound to, but he is going for a different sound, jazz drums aren't suppose to pound loud and deep. It doesn't hold up to the history of the instrument and latin jazz music.

  • Buddy Rich never tuned his drums ... he tightened his drums.

  • @Gandalfstyle Thankyou i just said they sound like shit and everyone FUCKING JIZZED IN THERe PANTS AND STARTED A HUGE FIGHT

  • Why don't you nerds guys play some music and stop talking about the "toms tuning" and the color of the t shirt he is using...i know is dificult for you dudes, but leave the computer for a while and try to.
