ok so if y'all had actually seen the movie, it wasn't just his eating or being out of shape. he was constantly messing up and not taking enough time to get it right. what y'all gotta understand is that in the military everyone is responsible for each other...so when someone keeps getting the others in trouble, it pisses everyone off.
he wasn't out of shape even at the beginning of the movie, he ACTED like he was out of shape, he really doesn't look all that fat, he is pretty muscular, but did put on considerable weight, and played like he was out of shape, for a guy who is 6'4 280 pounds aint really out of shape.
Pyle should have been sent home - he was not psychologically or physically fit to be a soldier and was drafted.
At the same time I gott admit that in a realistic situation it is better that a fuckup be straightened out so that he doesn`t screw up in a critical moment and endanger other lives.
in no way is this right... if he keeps screwing up just make him practice more until he gets better, i know he need to be punished but honestly a 20 on 1 beating dosent solve a damn thing. It just makes people go psycho like he did in the movie.
